The following recipes are made from basic panty ingredients and suitable for all skin types.
Containing no chemicals or animal products, these beauties are light on your pocket and the planet!
Coffee, Cocoa & Oat Face Mask: For Rejuvenating Skin
- 1 Tbsp ground coffee beans
- 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 Tbsp oats
- A splash of milk or yoghurt, I would recommend coconut or soy
Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl and mix, add a tsp of milk and continue to add more until you make a paste. Apply to face and leave for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
Oat & Yoghurt Face Mask: For Hydrating Skin
- ½ cup quick oats or rolled oats blended
- ¼ cup of soy yogurt
- 6-7 blueberries
Mash blueberries in a bowl, add oats, yoghurt and mix well. Apply the mask to your face and neck. Let it sit for 20 minutes and rinse with warm water.
Cucumber & Lemon Face Mask: For Refreshing Skin
- ½ cucumber (grated)
- ½ lemon
- 2-3 mint leaves
Crush your mint leaves or chop finely, add to bowl with grated cucumber. Squeeze the lemon into the mix and combine all ingredients well. Use a brush to apply to your face and neck. Let it sit for 20 minutes and rinse with cold water.
Banana & Turmeric Face Mask: For Dry & Dull Skin
- 2 Tbsp banana (ripe and mashed)
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
Mash the banana in a bowl, add turmeric and baking soda. Mix well and apply to face. Let it sit for 10 minutes or until dry. Rinse with warm water
Avocado & Aloe Vera: For Hydrating Skin
- 2 Tbsp mashed avocado
- 1 tsp aloe vera gell
- 1 tsp soy or coconut yoghurt
- Optional: 1 tsp avocado, jojoba, pumpkin or rose hip oil
Mash avocado and add remaining ingredients to bowl, combine well. Apply to skin and leave for 15-20 minutes, rinse with warm water.
